Prince Harry made a surprise appearance on a popular American late-night chat show on Thursday evening.

Instead of taking part in a typical sit-down interview, the Duke of Sussex joined TV host Jimmy Fallon in a haunted maze in New York.

As they prepared for the spooky experience, Fallon asked the former working royal about his fears and how easily scared he was. Harry replied: “Not normally, but today might be different”.

The Tonight Show skit saw the pair venture through the Halloween experience with cameras strapped to their chest capturing all the screams and swearing as they went.

Harry looked visibly shaken as he walked around the Tonightmares immersive horror experience at the Rockefeller Center.

Harry let loose as they encountered spooks and horror jumpscares popped up throughout the maze.

The Tonight Show described the experience as “10 spine-chilling rooms that bring Jimmy's worst nightmares to life, filled with sinister characters and scares lurking around every corner”.

Royal fans have praised Harry for his humour and noted on social media how much they enjoyed his appearance on the show.

One user wrote on X: "I can't get enough of all the happiness Prince Harry brings to the world! this is good!"

His TV appearance comes after Harry carried out a series of solo engagements in New York during UN General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week.

Harry previously appeared on the Tonight Show to promote his bombshell tell-all memoir Spare last year.
