Prince Harry has an unexpected hobby that he carries out from his Montecito mansion in California.

In their docuseries Harry and Meghan, Meghan Markle, 43, reveals that the Duke of Sussex is in fact a bird watcher.

In footage taken from their Californian home, the duchess shares footage of her husband Prince Harry, 40, standing in front of a bird feeder with his son Archie.

The family unit are gathered around the feeder when Hummingbirds begin to land, with Harry remaining very still as he videos them flying around in front of him.

In the scene, the couple’s son can be heard saying “I’ve got a dirty foot”.

Meghan can then be heard suppressing giggles and saying: “Papa is a bird watcher so this is a really big moment for him.”

The birds in the video can then be heard tweeting before flying away.

Although a very brief clip, the moment reveals that the prince is a fan of birds and enjoys watching them from his Montecito mansion, where he has lived for the past four years.

He shares the home with his wife Meghan and their two children Archie, five, and Lilibet, 3.

The moment is one of many shared by the couple in their Netflix docuseries, which was released in 2022 in a bid to tell royal fans about the couple and their story from their own perspective.

In the series, Harry and Meghan take a look back at their relationship from the early days until August 2022 when filming ceased, just months before the death of the late Queen.

The series came a year after the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
