Princess Beatrice could play the role of the "peacemaker" amidst the ongoing royal feud between King Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry, the monarch's former butler has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from the Royal Family since his sensational exit in 2020.

His subsequent claims about his life within the Firm and certain members of it have only deepened the rift, resulting in the duke reportedly not being on speaking terms with his older brother, while having minimum contact with his father.

Harry only visited Britain twice this year so far, once in February after Charles's shock cancer diagnosis announcement, when he met briefly with the monarch and a second time in May for an Invictus Games event when he failed to meet with any members of his family.

But now the King's former butler, Grant Harrold, has come out and claimed that Princess Beatrice, who is celebrating her 36th birthday today, could play a key role in the trio mending their relationship.

Speaking on behalf of Fruity Slots, Mr Harrold, who worked as a butler for King Charles from 2004 to 2011, suggested the Princess of York could potentially "initiate peace" within the royal household.

He said: "Beatrice could act as a peacemaker for Harry, William and Charles.

"She would be someone to initiate peace in the family. She’s close to both William and Harry, as well as the King - and they trust her.

"It would be her out of anyone else - but she wouldn’t want to be too involved. She would try to be careful.

"I have no doubt she would have spoken to the two brothers at some point to try to improve the situation."

Elsewhere, the former royal butler commented on how close Beatrice is to her uncle, as well as her cousins.

He added that the princess used to be extremely close to the late Queen Elizabeth and their special bond was "respected by the royals."

Mr Harrold said: "Beatrice was very close to the late Queen. They had a strong bond, which was respected by the Royals. She’s also close to her uncle, King Charles, and cousins, William and Harry. She gets on well with all the family and is known for being approachable and trustworthy.

"The relationship [between Beatrice, Harry and Wiliam] is fun and natural. It’s never changed. They always have a lot of jokes together and can have a laugh.

"They’re friends and that is what’s nice about it. They’re cousins, but they’re close and have each other’s backs. They do spend a lot of time together."
