Prince Harry was said to be "desperate" to find a "vulnerability" in the Royal Family so he can be welcomed back into the fold, however, his attempts have not been successful, according to a royal commentator.

The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from his family across the pond ever since he quit his duties and moved to the US in 2020.

But despite the ongoing feud, after King Charles and the Princess of Wales's cancer diagnoses, it has been reported that the duke is willing to make more of an effort and get closer to the royals, with some reports even suggesting that he'd be willing to take on royal duties and help out with the workload.

However, a royal commentator dismissed those claims, saying that the Firm have made it very clear to Prince Harry that he would not be welcomed back.

Journalist Dan Wootton said on his Dan Wootton Outspoken programme on YouTube: "This is what's so interesting, he's [Harry] desperate to find a vulnerability, to find a way in.

"He hoped that it would be Charles and Catherine's cancer, but they made it very clear to him early on that, 'no, nothing changes, we don't need your help, we don't want you taking on any duties'.

"Of course, it was Queen Elizabeth who said that they [Harry and Meghan] can't be half in half out."

Royal author Angela Levin, who appeared on the programme, agreed and added: "What the late Queen said was that she didn't want them to use their titles and make money out of it and of course, this is what they've been doing all the time.

"Even now they use their titles when they shouldn't be [using them] but I don't think people bother too much about that.

"The point is if they actually have the things they need to do as well as their titles and then they sell it [their brand], I mean I think Meghan with her jam jars, she could make a fortune if she was Queen.

"But we have to stop that, you can't do that, it's very, very insulting to the British Royal Family."
