Meghan Markle's 'clumsy publicity stunt' blasted by critics
One of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's pals has reportedly been plugging her brand American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan Markle has come under fire for another "clumsy" misstep, with some royal experts criticising her insensitive approach to publicity.
Nacho Figueras, a polo player and friend of Meghan and Prince Harry's, recently posted about her latest American Riviera Orchard release just before Trooping the Colour on June 15.
The Daily Mail's Richard Eden observed: "Meghan has done these publicity stunts where she's sent out goods and encouraged friends and influencers to post about it.
"But you never know when they're going to do it or what they'll say so it's completely out of your control.
"Yes, you get great publicity when these people say, 'I got my latest jam,' but it's embarrassing if it's just before Catherine's appearance at Trooping. It can look very pointed."
His colleague Rebecca English agreed, speaking on Palace Confidential: "It is clumsy. You can't expect them to have known that the announcement was coming out because people don't tell them things because they don't trust them."

In Spare, he describes a visit to Frogmore Cottage, following his return to the UK for Prince Philip's funeral where he talks about his reasons for moving.
Harry writes: "When my wife and I fled this place, in fear for our sanity and physical safety, I wasn’t sure when I'd ever come back. That was January 2020. Angela Mollard, a columnist for News Corp, said Zara and William are the "best of friends", and if she were in his shoes, it would make sense "pulling in" somebody as "trusted" and "faithful" as Zara.

Meghan Markle is facing an impossible choice over coming back to the UK
COMMENT by Catherine Meyer-Funnell
When Prince Harry travelled back to the UK last month to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games, a huge talking point surrounding the occasion was whether Meghan Markle would return with him.
The Invictus Games has been an important part of their relationship ever since Harry and Meghan debuted as a couple at the tournament in Toronto in 2017.
Ever since then the Duchess of Sussex has accompanied her husband all over the world with Invictus, from Australia to the Netherlands to Germany, with the countdown to Canada 2025 already underway.
However Britain apparently remains a no-go still for Meghan, who only came back here in 2022 for the Platinum Jubilee and the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral just three months later.
With polls suggesting her popularity has plummeted and commentators raking over every little detail of everything she does, is it any wonder that Meghan has chosen to stay away?

Harry's 'regret' over final conversation with Princess Diana before her tragic death
Prince Harry has admitted to feeling "regret" over his last conversation with his mother, Princess Diana, before she was killed in a car crash in Paris on August 31 1997.
Prior to the accident Harry and Diana had a phone call, which he claimed did not go as he might have hoped.
He recalled in his memoir Spare: "I wished I'd dug deep, told my mother all the things weighing on my heart, especially my regret over the last time we'd spoken on the phone.
"She'd called early in the evening, the night of the crash, but I was running around with Willy and my cousins and didn't want to stop playing. So I'd been short with her. Impatient to get back to my games, I'd rushed Mummy off the phone."
