Meghan Markle's reunion with Suits cast teased by co-star in 'spin-off film'

Suits is set to continue with brand new characters, but one of Meghan Markle's co-stars has hinted fans might not have seen the last of the original team.

Meghan Markle’s Suits co-star Patrick J Adams has revealed the original cast of the hit USA Network drama could reunite for a future film.

He claims the show’s creator Aaron Korsh is open to the idea, which could mean a surprise appearance from the Duchess of Sussex as her iconic character Rachel Zane.

“It's definitely something [Korsh] is interested in doing, trying to get the band back together,” Patrick said on Sunday.

“It's gonna depend on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible.”

Meghan appeared on the hit series about a New York City law firm for seven seasons until she dropped out after meeting her future husband, Prince Harry.

She’s expected not to return for the upcoming offshoot, Suits: LA, but she may not be able to resist the opportunity if all her original castmates come back for one last send-off.

Patrick was speaking at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, over the weekend, where he was joined by Suits alumni Dulé Hill, Sarah Rafferty, Amanda Schull and Abigail Spencer.

Dulé also expressed interest in returning for a feature, adding, per MailOnline: “I'll say as a fan of USA shows becoming films, I would definitely like to be doing another one.”

Meanwhile, Patrick has already started dipping his toes back into the Suits universe as he’ll be co-hosting a SiriusXM watch-along podcast with his co-star Sarah.

While Suits: LA is moving the drama to the West Coast, there’s still a chance some familiar faces could make cameo appearances.

The upcoming series will star Arrow and Heels lead Stephen Amell as Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor who could have ties to the original team before opening his new LA law firm specialising in criminal and entertainment law.

Also starring are Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis and Bryan Greenberg.

However, insiders previously told MailOnline that Meghan will not be involved.

Although, they did note the Duchess expressed interest in working behind the scenes, so it’s possible she could return to Suits as a producer or director.

Filming for the pilot only just took place in April, so fans will likely have to wait more than a year to see what lies ahead in the full series.
