Prince Edward reveals he's 'not happy' about giving speech as he goes on surprising rant
Prince Edward spoke out in a surprising intervention on current world events this week.
Protocol states that members of the Royal Family should never stray into politics.
But Prince Edward shook off that shackle in a surprising speech about men and the part they have played in current world events.
He said: "I know the world is not in a happy place at the moment.
"If I can be quite frank, men aren't doing a very good job at the moment. So therefore I am not particularly happy about standing up here and speaking [as a man].

HRH also attended @ThePresAwardSA, recognising winners of the @DofE Gold Award which supports 3,000 young South Africans every year.
"But I will say there is more that binds us together, more that brings us together, than separates us."
It's believed Prince Edward was talking in the context of global conflicts - including the war in Ukraine and the Israeli-Hamas war.
A source said that the Prince was "reflecting on the need to build bridges and not allow conflict to drive communities apart", reports MailOnline.
His wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, campaigns about the disproportionate impact of conflict on women and girls.
Prince Edward and his wife Sophie may be called on for enhanced duties while Princess Kate remains in hospital following abdominal surgery and his brother King Charles is treated for an enlarged prostate.

Yesterday the Royal Family updated its website to report on the visit.
It said: "This week, The Duke of Edinburgh is visiting South Africa and St Helena.
"His Royal Highness is the first Member of the Royal Family to visit St Helena, one of the world's most remote islands, since The Princess Royal travelled there in 2002."
She and husband Sir Timothy Laurence flew into Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake to mark the start of their two-day visit and was praised for her no-nonsense attitude.
Taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, one user said: "Look at this boss lady; carrying her own bags and big shout out to the sunnies."
Another said: "And she's even carrying her own bags. That’s why the HRH Princess Royal, Princess Anne is a boss and so loved."
A third noted: "Yes, Princess Anne really is Princess Boss."
