Princess Mary's rom-com love story after meeting Prince Frederik in a pub
The Crown Prince of Denmark and Crown Princess met in a busy pub in Australia where Mary had no idea she was talking to a future king.
Mary and Frederik, the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark, have been together for more than 20 years after their whirlwind romance began in Australia.
Frederik, 55, and Mary, 51, recently hosted King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain on a state visit to Denmark, along with Queen Margrethe.
Princess Mary, a former advertising executive, has been a working royal for nearly 20 years, having married Frederik in May 2004.
She met Frederik in a packed pub, the Slip Inn, in Sydney, Australia, 23 years ago when Mary was 28. The future princess had no idea she was chatting to the future King of Denmark at the time.
The Australian-born, future Queen of Denmark went on to win the hearts of the Danish people, having become fluent in the language and dedicating herself to serving her adpoted home.

But Mary's connection with Britain goes back further as she is the youngest daughter of John Dalgleish Donaldson, who was born in Scotland.
He emigrated to Australia in 1963 with his first wife, Henrietta, and they went on to become Australian citizens in 1975.
Crown Princess Mary now lives in Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg and in the Chancellery House at Fredensborg Palace with the Crown Prince and their children. A far cry from Mary's hometown of Hobart, Tasmania, more than 10,000 miles (16,000km) away.
