The Duke has vehemently denied all the charges.
One resident who wished to remain anonymous told the Shropshire Star they were considering writing to the council about the matter.
They said: “It’s not right it’s named after him. We've been thinking about writing to them.”
Another local indicated that while the name should be changed but that the new name should keep a royal theme.
They suggested that the street could be named after one of the Cambridge children: Prince George, Prince Louis or Princess Charlotte.
However one local resident, Terry Beech, opposed the renaming of the street.
He said: “You can't keep rewriting history. It's always been Prince Andrew Drive.
