Royal fans are eagerly awaiting news of Princess Beatrice's chosen baby name for her little girl. Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their daughter over the weekend, but the name of the royal tot has yet to be released to the public. Elizabeth
It may seem obvious, but Princess Beatrice could choose to pay homage to her grandmother, the Queen, with her daughter's name.
Princess Beatrice's own middle name is Elizabeth, and she is known to have a very close bond with her grandmother.
If not a first name, Elizabeth could feature as the baby girl's middle name, as is often the case when members of the Royal Family name their daughters.

Alice
Alice is a name with strong royal connotations, with several royals of the past holding the moniker.
Princess Beatrice's beloved grandfather, Prince Philip, was born to Princess Alice of Battenberg, so she may wish to pay tribute to him by naming her daughter Alice.
Princess Alice was also the name of Queen Victoria's second daughter, so Beatrice may wish to honour her ancestor.
Beatrice's own name was thought to be a tribute to Queen Victoria's youngest daughter, also Princess Beatrice.
Victoria
Running with the same theme, Princess Beatrice could also choose to name her daughter Victoria.
Queen Victoria was Britain's longest-serving monarch prior to Queen Elizabeth II.
So the link to a strong monarch of history may appeal to Beatrice and Edo when naming their daughter.
Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, is also known to be passionate about the life of Queen Victoria, so choosing the name Victoria may be a sweet tribute to Sarah too.

Helena
Princess Helena was the third daughter of Queen Victoria.
But the name Helena also has special significance for Princess Beatrice, as it is the middle name of her sister Princess Eugenie.
Sarah Ferguson picked names with strong Victorian links for both her daughters, with Eugenie's full name Princess Eugenie Victoria Helena.
Beatrice may wish to pay tribute to Queen Victoria and her sister Eugenie by choosing Helena as her daughter's name.
Mary
Mary has been a prominent royal name in British history, and Beatrice may wish to continue the name's royal prominence with her own daughter's name.
The Queen was known to have a good relationship with her grandmother, Queen Mary.
The Queen's father, King George VI, also had a sister called Princess Mary, who was Princess Royal.
