Prince Charles publicly wished Archie a happy second birthday through his official Twitter account, Clarence House. The tweet read: "Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today."
The message also included the emoji of a birthday cake and a black and white picture taken during the reception after Archie's christening in July 2019.
In the snap by photographer Chris Allerton, the Prince of Wales smiles at his grandson who looks back at him while in the arms of his dad Harry.
The tweet by Clarence House, which represents the Duchess of Cornwall and the Prince of Wales, comes as the feud between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the Royal Family is yet to be healed.
The difficulties in the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince Charles were unveiled by the Duke of Sussex during his landmark interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duke of Sussex told Oprah he feels "let down" by his father, who he accused of a lack of support despite having gone through similar experiences.
He added: "Of course, I will always love him, but there's a lot of hurt that's happened.
"And I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship."
Prince Harry also claimed Prince Charles stopped taking his calls after he had spoken to him twice about his and Meghan's plans to quit as full-time working royals.

The ice between Prince Harry and his family in the UK was broken in April, when he travelled back to his homeland to say his final goodbye to Prince Philip.
After the funeral, the Duke of Sussex was seen walking back to Windsor Castle with his brother Prince William.
While at the castle, the brothers spoke together with Prince Charles.
The Prince of Wales, however, is not believed to have spoken alone with his youngest son before he travelled back to California.
Prince Charles hasn't been the only senior royal to publicly wish Archie a happy birthday today.
The Royal Family Twitter account, which represents the Queen and all the working royals without their own social media pages, wrote earlier today: "Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today."
Similarly, Kate and Prince William's Twitter account Kensington Royal wrote: "Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today."
It is not known how Archie will celebrate his big day today.
Last year, the little Sussex was filmed by Prince Harry sitting on Meghan's legs while she was reading him the book Duck! Rabbit!
The heartwarming clip was shared by Save the Children on Instagram as part of its campaign Save With Stories.
According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Harry and Meghan may call the Queen today to have her wish Archie a happy birthday in person.
Ms Seward told Entertainment Daily: "I am sure they will be in touch with the Queen so they can do a zoom call with her and Archie.
"It will be very important to them that Archie knows his royal great granny back in the UK.”
During his interview with James Corden filmed in February, Harry revealed the monarch and his late grandfather Prince Philip have remained in touch with Archie throughout 2020 thanks to video calls.
