Meghan Markle and Harry 'can't have it both ways' says expert
Meghan's fans took to Twitter to shield the Duchess of Sussex from her father's latest attack. Meghan's estranged father, who lives in Rosarito, Mexico, spoke to the press in the wake of new revelations about the dramatic events leading up to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' wedding in May 2018.
The former Hollywood lighting director said Meghan and Harry shouldn't "whine" about personal issues while lives across the globe are being destroyed by the coronavirus pandemic.
But Meghan and Harry's fans slapped down Mr Markle, claiming he should be supporting his daughter rather than speaking to the press.
One social media user called Jackie wrote on Twitter: "Any decent father would support their daughter by now. Not Thomas Markle!! He's back against his daughter!!"
Stay Sahay accused the Duchess' father of not respecting Meghan, writing: "Thomas Markle, let your daughter breathe.
"You don't respect your daughter and that's sad.
"You don't love her? Not sure who you trying to convince.
"PS: I will walk on broken glass for my daughter."
Meghan fan itravelgang7, told Mr Markle, who has often spoken to members of the media over the past two years: "You are NOT in the position to address Meghan and Harry."

The Sun, who recently interviewed Mr Markle, said the Duchess' father had not been paid for their latest story.
Mr Markle had spoken out on revelations in the book Finding Freedom by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
This book focuses on Meghan and Harry's romance, issues within the Royal Family and its members and the couple's decision to step down.
Criticising the timing of the biography, Mr Markle said: "This is the worst time in the world for them to be whining and complaining about anything because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic."
The book explores Mr Markle and Meghan's relationship as well as his decision to set up paparazzi pictures in the run-up to the Royal Wedding.
The authors, who claim to have spoken with several sources close to Meghan and Harry, published the content of a series of private conversations between father and daughter as they tried to navigate through the scandal created by the staged photographs.
But the book also touches upon Meghan's relationship with the press as an actress in Toronto, claiming she had sometimes taken advantage of the attention of the press.
The book reads: "While Meghan, before she met Harry, had occasionally set up a paparazzi photo here and there or let info slip out to the press, she did everything in her power to protect the privacy of her relationship with the prince."
Mr Markle said: “Apparently Meghan has made deals with the paparazzi. She planned it.”
He added: “I love my daughter but I really don’t appreciate what she’s become right now.”
