Prince Charles: Speech about young people gets interrupted
Prince Charles delivered a heartfelt message to young Britons as he committed his Prince of Wales Trust to help struggling workers through the coronavirus crisis. The Prince of Wales called on the UK to help and support those workers who have seen their job jeopardised because of the lockdown. But Charles was challenged to maintain his composure after his video appeal was interrupted by a bell ringing in the background.
The first in line to the throne appeared unphased by the sudden interruption as he continued to deliver the conclusion to his speech as if nothing had happened.
Prince Charles said: "In times of economic hardship, it is often young people who are hardest hit and we know that many under twenty-fives work in sectors such as hospitality and tourism which have borne the brunt of the crisis.
"We also know the difficulties faced by a disrupted education, a loss of entry-level jobs and rising unemployment.
"It is a real challenge to thrive in the midst of chaos and economic disorder but this is why my Trust was set up, to help people to a better future."

"Their future is on the line but, together, we can prevent this crisis from defining the prospects of a generation."
The Prince of Wales, who himself caught the coronavirus before the start of the lockdown and has been shielding in Scotland for the past 13 weeks, resumed his public duties this week.
After a series of engagements carried out virtually, Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall surprised staff at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to personally thank them for their hard work through the outbreak.

Camilla, who shielded with Prince Charles at their Birchall residence in Scotland but did not catch the virus, told staff they are “the best of Britain” as she praised them for doing “the most remarkable things” during the pandemic.
The Prince of Wales also heaped praise on the medical staff: “It's been a marvellous opportunity just to have a chance of seeing people who I know have been doing so much on the, literally, on the frontline, and having to endure an awful lot of stress and strain.
"I think in their wonderful way how they do it, I don't know. But delivering everything in the most effective way.
"And the great thing they're all saying is that it's brought different departments together in a way that hadn't always happened before. So, there's been a great deal of marvellous cooperation I think."
