Thomas Markle Jr was told he would be knocked “the f**k out” by his opponent, actor Henry Laun, for “embarrassing” the Royal Family. Meghan has not spoken to her half-brother, who shares the name of her father, for years, and is part of the side of her family outcast in the run up to her royal wedding. Meghan’s brother who, like the rest of the Markles is yet to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal baby, said: “I’m dedicating this fight to Meghan and little baby Archie.”
He revealed his fighting name as ‘The Duke’ when he appeared in Philadelphia for the pre-match face-off ahead of the clash, scheduled for Atlantic City in June.
Laun, who is fighting under the name of ‘Nacho Extreme’, told Markle: “The Royal Family just called, they told me to knock you the f**k out.”
Meghan’s family on her father’s side has been swamped in controversy since it emerged she was in a relationship with Prince Harry.
In the run up to her wedding last year, father Thomas Markle staged paparazzi pictures, before releasing a series of statements to the media blasting his daughter.
Her half brothers and sisters were also furious at not being invited to the wedding, with Samantha Grant, 54, branding her a “shallow social climber”.
Ahead of the bout window fitter Thomas, 52, told DailyMailTV: “I feel good, I'm really excited, this is a really good opportunity, really nice to get back in the ring, in the gym again, it's been quite a while for me, so it's been a really good experience so far.
“I don't have any boxing experience whatsoever, I've played in the ring a few times with martial arts, but it's gonna be fun.”
Despite having no boxing experience, compared to Nacho’s background in boxing, Mr Markle thinks the fight will go “pretty well”.

He added: “I’ve got a little height on him, I've got a little reach on him, he's got some weight on me so we ought to match up pretty good.”
