Meghan Markle wants to take rescue dog home but not before the baby arrives
THERE were laughs all round when a pensioner affectionately called the Duchess of Sussex a "fat lady", during a visit to an animal welfare charity yesterday. Meghan, who is six months pregnant, showed off her baby bump in a £25 H&M maternity dress. She teamed it with a £1,699 cream Emporio Armani cashmere coat when she visited the Mayhew charity, of which she is patron.

Touring the charity's headquarters in Kensal Green, north-west London, she met residents at a dementia care home who receive petting dog visits.
Gothrine McEachrom, known as Peggy, told her: "You're a fat lady."
Laughing Meghan, 37, replied: "I'll take that."
Peggy said: "Glad to see you so well. You'll soon be having a little baby boy."
"Oh you think it's going to be a boy?" Meghan said. "It's a surprise. We don't know what we're having."
Asked whether she really knew, Meghan said: "I don't, I promise you, no. We're going to be surprised."
And she joked: "I ask everyone what they think and everyone has a very strong opinion about it."
Meeting Emma Driver and Maggie, her adopted Jack Russell terrier, Meghan talked about her beagle Guy, who had been previously mistreated and left to roam wild.
"He was petrified to come in the front door. He didn't know how to go up the stairs," she said. "All the things you're patient with and then you end up with the best dog in the world."
Meghan brought Guy to the UK and she and Harry have adopted another dog, a black labrador.
Cradling Jack Russell-cross Minnie, Meghan, who is due to give birth in late April or early May, appeared tempted to take her home.
But she admitted: "We can't take another dog before the baby. Our hands are too full."
Di’s bracelet adds to Markle sparkle
The Duchess of Sussex sparkled in a £3,495 Roland Mouret navy sequined gown last night.
Meghan, 37, was also wearing a gold bracelet that once belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales.
She and Prince Harry were at the Royal Albert Hall last night to watch Canadian circus company Cirque du Soleil's new show Totem.
The premiere was staged to raise money for Prince Harry's Sentebale charity, set up in 2006 to help young Africans affected by HIV and Aids.
VIP guests included actor Sir David Jason and Elizabeth Hurley. As she met performers, the Duchess said: "I can't wait to see the show."
