MEGHAN Markle has an “American management technique” that has proved to be“uncomfortable” for royal aides, according to experts.
Meghan Markle asks DIRECT questions to Palace staff say experts
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed yesterday that the due date for their first baby is approaching at the end of April or beginning of May. They are currently transforming Frogmore Cottage into a family home ready for their new arrival, however the departures of several of their aides have fuelled rumours that the duchess is difficult to work for. In the latest shake-up of the royal household, it was announced yesterday that the duchess’ bodyguard has quit her post.
American podcast “Royally Obsessed” is hosted by writers Kaitlin Menza and Lisa Ryan, who delve into the Duchess of Sussex’s year in review.
They offer their opinion that it could be an American culture-clash that has surprised royal aides with the duchess’ arrival into the family.
Ms Menza said: “Some of the strife comes from her management technique, [it] is a little different from other royal family members.
“Culturally Americans tend to be more direct and that straightforwardness might be uncomfortable.”
Ms Ryan agreed: “There are cultural differences.”
She added: “Also she came from working on set, and having to fight for herself in Hollywood, and owning her own business.
“So I’m sure it’s been a learning curve to suddenly have to change everything you do.”
However, Ms Menza asked: “What about her asking direct questions of her own employees would be off-putting to a British person?”

The resignation of the Duchess’ unnamed bodyguard yesterday follows the departures of Meghan’s private secretary Samantha Cohen and her personal assistant Melissa Touabti.
A former royal aide commented on the resignation of Meghan and Harry’s staff members, saying: “I think what we’ve seen is a clash of cultures rather than a serious falling out between anyone.”
