The Liberal Democrat leader found himself in deep water during a routine campaign visit.

Ed Davey made quite the splash when he plunged from his paddle board on Lake Windermere.
The Liberal Democrat arch-Remoaner was joined by former party leader Tim Farron.
The pair posed for pictures as they paddled on the tranquil lake. However, Mr Davey was then seen falling into the water.
Some of the pictures are clearly set up, with Mr Davey diving into the water. However, others appear to show him slipping and falling from his board in a far less controlled manner.

The 58-year-old will be hoping to start making waves with the electorate before long.
As it stands his party is below its traditional third place in the polls, currently languishing beneath Reform UK.
The centrists party is hovering around 9 per cent of the vote, according to YouGov's latest data from May 23-24.
Meanwhile, Richard Tice's party is gathering momentum, currently on 14 points, up two from the last measure.

Despite the widening gap between Reform and the Lib Dems, its the latter party that is far better-placed to win a handful of seats.
The first-past-the-post voting system doesn't reward high numbers of votes spread thinly across the country, rather it lends itself to parties that get a smaller share of the vote but that is concentrated in particular areas.
The Liberal Democrats traditionally does well in the West Country and areas of southern England. According to Electoral Calculus, seats like Bath, Bermondsey and Old Southwark, and Bicester and Woodstock are all top targets for the staunchly Europhile party.
Meanwhile, Reform will be looking to take Brexit heartlands from the Tories in places like Boston and Skegness, where Mr Tice himself is running.
