Boris on the brink as Labour records biggest lead over Tories since 2013 in latest poll
BORIS JOHNSON is on the brink, with Labour recording its "largest polling figure" since 2013 amid the Downing Street ‘Partygate' scandal.

Savanta ComRes asked 2,151 voters which party they would vote for if a general election were held tomorrow.
Labour came out an astonishing ten points ahead of the Tories.
The last time it recorded a lead this large was in 2013.
Forty-two percent of those asked between January 13-14 – that is, after Mr Johnson admitted he attended what he claimed to have believed was a “work event” – said they would vote Labour.
When asked the same question between January 7-9, roughly the same percentage of voters said they’d opt for the Tories (33).
At this time, 37 percent said they would vote Labour.
This means the gap between the two parties, according to Savanta ComRes, has increased from four to 10 points in less than a week.
On Wednesday, Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross called on Mr Johnson to resign due to his attendance at a Downing Street “gathering, party, event” on May 20, 2020.
He said the Prime Minister’s position was “no longer tenable”.
Other Tory officials have been more reluctant to comment on Mr Johnson’s position, preferring to hear the verdict of Sue Gray’s official investigation into reports of lockdown rule-breaking at Downing Street first.
Martin Reynolds, the Prime Minister’s principal private secretary, who invited 100 staff to the Downing Street garden do in May 2020, could go, according to the Financial Times.
So too could Chief of staff Dan Rosenfield.
But Bow Group Chairman Ben Harris-Quinney said changing his advisors would not be enough to save Mr Johnson.
He added: “If yet another scandal drops it will push him over the edge.”
A separate poll, released on Thursday, by YouGov also put Labour ten points ahead of the Tories, though the specific percentages were slightly different.
This saw Labour at 38 percent and the Conservative Party at 28 percent.
