Arsenal will take on Vorskla Poltava at the Emirates Stadium as they begin their Europa League campaign today.
Arsenal fans will be hoping new manager Unai Emery’s pedigree in the Europa League will help lead them to a first European trophy in over 20 years.
The last time Arsenal won a European trophy was back in 1994 when the Gunners won the Cup Winners’ Cup.
And in new boss Emery they have a manager who has a fine history in the Europa League.
With Sevilla Emery won the Europa League three times back-to-back between 2014 and 2016.
And while Emery is targeting another Europa League win the Spaniard said his priority is for Arsenal to do well in the Premier League this season.
He said: "The Premier League is the first competition because it's giving us a big responsibility.
"Other competitions are very important too.
"Today, we are only thinking about giving our supporters the first performance and a good 90 minutes on the pitch at the Emirates."
And when asked if Emery would like to win a fourth Europa League title, he said: "Yes, sure. Every title for us is very important.
"In my career, the ambition is very important for continuing to improve and continuing to achieve the objectives in my career personally and with the team.
"I want to play for every title going forward."
Emery is expected to make changes to the Arsenal team that won against Newcastle over the weekend.
Arsenal’s new keeper Bernd Leno could make his Gunners debut at home tonight in the Europa League.
While midfielder Lucas Torreira, 22, could be set for his first start of the season.
Mohamed Elneny, Danny Welbeck and Stephan Lichtsteiner are also in contention to play against Ukrainian side Vorskla Poltava.
