'Space-saving' lamp that doubles up as shelves now half price at Dunelm

Dunelm fans are snapping up a floor lamp that also doubles up as shelves. The space-saving lamp is currently on sale, down from £110 to £55 - making you a saving of 50%.

The Keates Shelved Floor Lamp comes with a black frame. It was also available in a teal colour but this has sold out.

The contemporary shelved unit has a lamp on the top shelves and then three tiers to either create an attraction with home décor or tidy away little home goods within.

The lamp has an average customer rating of 4.7 out of 5 and more than 170 comments - 138 of which have been awarded five stars. One customer said: “I purchased the black version it is very sturdy and easy to assemble, I have put a warm white bulb in and it looks amazing the shelves are really handy.”

A second commented: “Just love this. Looks so nice on my porch, I have had loads of comments. Easy to assemble looks so expensive too.”

A third wrote: “I saw this lamp advertised online and bought it straightaway! It was just what I wanted for a tight corner behind the sofa to stand my tech on. It was easy to assemble and looked great in its finished position. 

“I didn’t get the bulb that Dunelm recommended as I didn’t want the amber glow so I bought another large pearl bulb, that you can’t see the filament through. It gives a brighter light that you can comfortably read. 

“I haven’t used the shelves to display ornaments and books but it’s great for my router and phone and keeps them off the carpet! I used a storage box on the lowest shelf to hide all the unsightly wires and I’m very pleased with the whole purchase.” 

Not all customers were happy, with one saying they couldn’t assemble it. They wrote: “The holes for the screws on the base shelf weren’t wide enough for the screws to go through so I couldn’t actually put it together. Pathetic really.”

Another said their lamp was delivered smashed. They wrote: “I took it all out the box, set it all up.

"Last thing to do was take the glass out of the packaging and place it on top only to find it was smashed. Had to dismantle everything and now I got to take it all the way back to the shop where they don't have any more in stock.” 

You can pick up a similar floor lamp on Amazon for £39.99. Made from wood, it also has three tiered shelves. The top shelf is where the lamp sits. It has a  linen fabric shade.
