Are you tired of your parcels being tossed into the bin or handed over to your neighbour? If you're a fan of online shopping but find the delivery process a bit of a headache, Dunelm's latest offering might just be what you need. Perfect for those without a porch, this Keep Safe Parcel Store acts as a dropbox for all your deliveries.

The box has been designed with security in mind, so there's no need to fret about your parcels disappearing if you're not home. When a parcel arrives, the lid lifts up allowing the package to be placed on a hinged platform. Once the lid is shut, the parcel drops into a secure space at the bottom of the store.

Parcels remain unreachable when the lid is next opened. When needed, parcels can be retrieved through a lockable side door.

The box is crafted from wood and features a showerproof, weather-resistant feather edge roof. It also comes with a 10-year guarantee against rot. The box will cost you £129, making it a significant investment - particularly for those who are frequent online shoppers.

The box arrives flat-packed and requires assembly. The dimensions of the box are W 58cm x D 44cm x H 84cm. It weighs 7kg.

Dunelm has just introduced the piece as part of its Garden range, although it's the solitary parcel box of its type on offer at the moment. Not many customers have caught onto this trend yet, as there are no reviews or ratings for the fresh arrival.

Fancy a different option? The Amazon Zest Keep Safe Parcel Store available for a smidge less at £99.99, boasting similar weather-resistant wood construction, ready to keep your packages out of harm's way. Its dimensions stand at 0:58 m wide by 0:44 m deep and 0:84 m high, which should comfortably accommodate parcels in various sizes.

Amazon users seemed chuffed with their purchase in the review section. One happy customer exclaimed: "The postman said that is amazing!"

Meanwhile, another shared: "It's a big box and seems sturdy enough. Hopefully, now I won't have to search every bin, plant pot or neighbours' garden next time a parcel arrives.

Some customers were less than impressed with their purchases, venting their frustrations online.

One disgruntled buyer remarked: "Little to no instructions, poor quality hinges, needs adapting to work properly, does not fit flush to wall, as lid needs space to tilt backward. Not worth the money."

Echoing this sentiment, another added: "Poor quality control. The product was slightly damaged on arrival and the staples not straight.

“The hinges were not adequately countersunk for the screws so the door would not shut. I decide to fix the door shut. Remove the security flap and strengthen with extra screws."

Elsewhere, bargain hunters can snag the Zest Keep Safe Parcel Store at Robert Dyas for a steal at £99, slashed from its original price of £134.99, pocketing a cool £35 saving. This clever contraption ensures parcels are kept safe; when a delivery person lifts the lid to place a package on the hinged platform, it drops into a secure compartment upon closing, hidden from view until you retrieve it, and cannot be reached again once the lid is reopened.

In the review section, one customer praised the parcel box, saying: "Great looking parcel box. Was not too bad to assemble but need a little knowledge but otherwise very satisfied with my purchase."

Yet, another buyer highlighted a flaw in their unit, pointing out: "Poor quality workmanship disappointing for the price. Side panel edging split and the lid had holes where they had not properly aligned the wood and missed."
