One person asked whether a 2p coin would scratch their taps.
A user replied: “It won’t scratch.”
Other users suggested using Vikal or white vinegar.
One user said: “White vinegar soaked on some kitchen roll will do the trick.
“Wrap it round your tap, leave it for a bit, go back and when you take the kitchen roll off the limescale has gone soft and can be wiped away.”
Another member commented: “Soak an old rag in vinegar, wrap it around the bit you need cleaned, leave overnight and rinse off.”
Another person suggested: “Bleach won’t remove limescale. Use Vikal.
“Just spray and leave, then rub with a scrubby.”
Another cleaning enthusiast said: “I use it all [Vikal] all the time.
“Spray it on, leave it for 10 minutes and then wipe.”
One person suggested toothpaste and said it “works wonders”.
