THE MOST sought-after beauty spots to buy a home in the UK in 2021 have been ranked. Which one came first?
The 10 most popular beauty spots across the UK to purchase a home have been unveiled by Zoopla, an online property portal. The website has revealed which areas in Britain have received the most online searches, while identifying the average house prices of properties in the most-sought after locations.
Renowned for its picture post-card villages and stunning landscape, the Cotswolds attracted the most attention from house hunters, having received 8,661,331 online views this year, according to Zoopla.
The average property in the picturesque region is priced at £474,164.
In second place, is Kent Downs, in the South East, which amassed 8,257,901 online views.
A home in the area comes with a price tag of £460,132.

Ranked in third place is the Chilterns, with 7,270,489 online views.
An average house price in the region sells for £613,200.
The region covers an extensive area of land and stretches across the four counties of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire.
Ranked in fourth place was the High Weald which attracted 5,844,025 online views, followed by Cornwall in the fifth spot with 5,531,634 online views.

In sixth place is the Gower Peninsula, in southwest Wales, with 4,915,398 online views.
An average house price will set buyers back £314,279.
North Wessex Downs is ranked in the seventh spot, having attracted 3,065,673 online views.
Properties in the region sell for £466,812.

In eighth place is Surrey Hills with 2,840,595 online views. Homes typically sell for £704,813.
South Devon ranked in ninth place, with 1,852,473 online views, while an average house sells for £513,576.
Ranked in tenth place is the Wye Valley, in Herefordshire, having attracted 1,802,694 online views from prospective buyers. An average property sells for £341,147.
Having conducted research to identify which beauty spots have experienced the highest increase in property prices, the website unveiled Eildon and Leaderfoot in Scotland ranked at the top with homes rising by £77,797 since last year.
Assynt-Coigach in North West Scotland was ranked in second place, with homes increasing by £75,485 since 2020.
In third place was the Northumberland Coast where property prices have increased by £49,636
Meanwhile, in the tenth spot is Gower where homes have risen by £21,327.
Attributing a change in lifestyle to a high demand in property located in beauty spots, Daniel Copley, consumer spokesperson at Zoopla, said: “Remote working has become a catalyst to the property market boom post-Covid, and has opened doors for many homeowners who’ve jumped at the chance to relocate for a different, quieter pace of life.
“For London commuters, homes in the Cotswolds offer easy access, should they ever need to return to the city, and for remote workers who want to get away for good, there’s plenty of beautiful areas in Scotland offering a peaceful and secluded lifestyle.”
