Every cat owner knows the struggle: their feline friends can be incredibly picky eaters. Whether they prefer gravy over jelly or salmon instead of tuna, it’s a constant guessing game to figure out what will tickle their taste buds.

Once you’ve figured out exactly which food they prefer, the next challenge is finding these specific flavours in the supermarket without wasting sachets from multipacks. This is where Purina steps in with their innovative Pick ‘n’ Mix cat food.

This unique offer allows you to create a personalised Felix cat food box, filled only with the flavours and styles your cat adores. Each box contains 120 sachets, with the option to choose up to six different flavours.

This means you can stock up on food that you know will be eaten, saving you the hassle of lugging heavy crates back from the supermarket. This not only ensures that your cat will enjoy every meal, but also saves you the hassle of lugging heavy crates back from the supermarket.

For instance, if I were choosing for my cat, Theo, I would select chicken in jelly (7+), as he has a particular fondness for jelly and chicken. I’d also include Felix tasty shreds wet cat food in Tuna, because while he enjoys fish, he absolutely loves gravy and will lick his bowl clean to get all the delicious nutrients.

Lastly, I’d add Naturally Delicious Turkey in Jelly – his absolute favourite meat – to round off his breakfast and dinner feasts. The Pick ‘N’ Mix box costs £49.50 when ordered through Purina, and includes free delivery.

This makes the cost per packet a mere 41p. If your cat has a particular preference, you can buy 120 packets of a single flavour.

First-time buyers on Purina can enjoy a 10 percent discount by subscribing to their newsletter, bringing the total down to £44.50. Although the bundle itself lacks reviews, the food certainly doesn’t.

One customer praised Felix Chicken in jelly, saying: “My kitten doesn’t really like cat food so I’ve been buying lots of different brands but it’s made no difference. When he does eat cat food it’s always Felix as good as it looks and he does eat more when he gets chicken flavour.

“So when I saw I could purchase just the chicken flavour I was elated and so is my kitten because he’s now eating cat food several times a day and looks forward to his meals now.”

Another satisfied customer said: “My cats are extremely spoilt which has made them very picky with their food. Being able to purchase just the flavours that they enjoy is fantastic, the cats are happy and so am I because it means I’m not paying for pouches that they won’t eat. Keep it up Purina.”

A third chimed in: “My two adult cats love ‘As good as it looks’ chicken in jelly. It’s great to be able to choose large cartons of their preferred good via the Purina website.”

You can get your box of Purina’s Pick ‘n’ Mix from their website here. If Felix doesn’t tickle your feline’s fancy, there are plenty of other brands to consider, like Applaws' natural cat food in broth, with a 12-pack featuring tuna fillet, chicken breast, ocean fish and chicken breast with cheese.

Currently, it’s on sale at Amazon for £7.20, down from £13.29. Alternatively, Tesco is selling a mega pack of 40 Whiskas Poultry Feasts in Jelly for £12.49, which includes flavours such as chicken, duck, poultry and turkey.
