Slow Horses is set to return to screens within days for its hotly anticipated fourth season. Streaming in September, the latest instalment in the BAFTA-winning espionage series will see the MI5 rejects facing a menacing new villain and the aftermath of a deadly bombing.

Billed as a ‘darkly humorous espionage drama’ Slow Horses has been another hit for Apple TV+ having earned nine Emmy nominations for its third season, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. The new season debuted with a perfect 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score after 10 reviews, with the series as a whole currently boasting an impressive 98 percent.

According to the official synopsis, season four will open with a deadly car bomb that shakes London while detonating personal secrets and rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House. It will also see the return of the show’s stellar ensemble cast, led by Oscar-winner Gary Oldman as Slough House head Jackson Lamb.
