It’s Donald Trump’s birthday, and while details of his celebration haven’t emerged, the former US president might be honoured with a MAGA flotilla during his stay in Detroit this weekend.

But he could very well be throwing a party as extravagant as previous year's, considering his net worth is still in the billions despite his media company suffering a huge tumble last year.

The latest report published by Bloomberg Billionaires Index back in April, estimated that the politician and business tycoon’s net worth dropped by a staggering £785million in the past year.

Following Trump Media & Technology Group’s £45million loses in 2023, Trump’s current net worth is reported to be around £5billion.

While Trump Media faced significant financial losses last year, it did experience an increase in revenue compared to the previous year.

According to Bloomberg, the former president's company generated £1.1million in revenue in 2022, which rose to £3.2million last year.

However, 2021 was a more profitable year for Trump Media, with the company achieving a £39million profit.

But when contrasted with other social media companies, Trump Media's challenges become more evident.

Last year, Reddit generated £631million in revenue, and Snapchat's parent company reported £3.6billion in sales.

These figures highlight the disparity, as Trump’s TRUTH Social reported around nine million sign-ups in February, whereas Reddit had 267.5 million weekly active users in the last quarter, and Snap had about 420 million daily active users in the first quarter.

But despite last year’s bump, before the merger of Trump Media, the largest portion of his wealth comes from his real estate holdings, including luxury hotels in New York City, valued at £691million.

This, along with £227million in real estate outside New York City and £581million in golf clubs and resorts, makes land and buildings the biggest chunk of Trump's property empire.

In addition to real estate, Donald Trump's net worth in 2024 also includes his brand businesses, with around 250 of its affiliates and subsidiaries using the Trump name.

He reportedly has cash and personal assets worth £432million.
