Jake Paul has thrown his hat into the ring regarding the presidential race between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, though he confesses that political parties aren't his focus but rather America's pressing issues.

The 27 year old YouTube sensation, who may have made Puerto Rico his residence but hails from Cleveland, isn't shy about his stance on what he believes the US and its citizens truly need. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul indicated that Trump might just snag his vote come the November elections.

"That's really what the young people in America want. We want solutions, we don't want all this marketing, we don't want the B.S. put in front of us."

"This is the smartest generation. We've had the most access to information and knowledge out of any other generation. You can't fool us. We just want the truth, and we want authenticity."

When pressed by Watters for his own solutions to the issues he mentioned, Paul chuckled away the query, stating that it's not his "expertise". He also remarked that there wasn't enough time during the show to delve into all his thoughts on the nation's challenges, reports the Express US.

"I know people are struggling with jobs, mortgages are too much for people to afford, inflation, prices are going up, is minimum wage rising," he listed as primary concerns. "People are having trouble paying off and going to school, and then they're feeling like, "Hey, I have this college degree, but what has this gotten me?

Paul is set to go head-to-head with Trump on his 'Impaulsive' podcast on Thursday June 13, with reports from the Mail indicating that it was the ex-US president who initiated contact. In a preview of the show, the pair posed with Paul's WWE belt having sat down in Trump's home.

Paul also voiced concerns about the detrimental diet and lifestyle habits prevalent among Americans, suggesting that individuals are not entirely to blame. "I believe there's a massive problem with our food," he declared.

"The stuff that they're putting into our bodies and allowing in grocery stores is causing massive health problems. I think there needs to be a massive conversation with the National Institution of Health."

The much-anticipated bout between Paul and former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson, originally scheduled for July 20, has been pushed back to November 15 amid concerns over Tyson's wellbeing following an incident where he experienced nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer flare during a flight.
