Elf on the Shelf 2018: Where can you buy your OWN Elf on the Shelf?
ELF ON THE SHELF is a brilliant way to keep your children entertained on the run-up to Christmas, as well as great entertainment for the adults, but where can you buy your own Elf on the Shelf and his accompanying book?
Children enjoy Christmas with The Elf on the Shelf
The tradition originated in the United States, from a 2005 picture book which comes with a soft elf toy.
The story tells of how the elf has been sent by Santa to watch over children during the Christmas period.
Each night the elf will return to the North Pole to update Santa on whether the children have been naughty or nice.
Each night parents move the elf around the house, posing him in different positions so as to show the children the mischief he has been getting up to.

Where can you buy your own Elf on the Shelf?
The book was written by Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell, to record their own family tradition of having an elf come over during the festive period.
Just like the book, their elf reported to Santa on whether children had been well or badly behaved.
The book comes with the elf and is available from a number of retailers.
Amazon stock the book – which comes with the elf, for £22.95, and free delivery.
The same is available on eBay for only £13.99
You can also buy the elf, different clothing and even friends for them on the official Elf on the Shelf website.
For many families, the Elf on the Shelf has now become a tradition all of their own.
Pictures across social media show the elf posed in hilarious positions and getting up to all sorts of mischief.
They have been eating chocolate with wrappers posed around them, writing messages with toothpaste and even lining shoes up in a conga line.
Children have woken to find their elves having a tea party with other toys and even making snow angels with flour.
