If your peace lily is looking a little dreary, a houseplant enthusiast has shared his "secret" to making them "happy" and healthy again. You'll notice a difference in just two hours.
Peace lilies are relatively easy to grow houseplants and may live for 20 years or more with proper care. They grow moderately and reach maturity in around three years. However, without the right care and attention, peace lilies will start to suffer and wilt.
Houseplant and gardening enthusiast @dane_curtis91 experienced this with his peace lily and discovered a natural remedy to perk the plant up again. He claims that the “secret to keeping a peace lily happy” is to water them with used coffee grounds. In his video on TikTok, he said: “I’ve been watering it with this magic stuff. It’s simply used coffee grounds.

“It fertilises the plant well and gives it a little more nutrients than maybe some tap water.”
Dane then watered the peace lily with the coffee grounds and showed a time-lapse of the houseplant perking back up in two hours.
When asked in the comments about the water-to-coffee ratio, Dane said that he usually adds "three spoonfuls of coffee grounds per eight to 12oz of water”.
He added that he likes to use the homemade fertiliser every other watering or every third watering.
When used in moderation, coffee grounds can provide several benefits for plants, including peace lilies.
