Jaguar XK150S: One-of-a-kind car capable of hitting 130mph set to sell for over £100,000
A POWERFUL Jaguar road car capable of hitting over a whopping 130mph is set to sell for over £100,000 this weekend.
This Jaguar may sell up to £140,000 this weekend
The 1960 Jaguar XK150S clocked up 61,600 miles in its first two years of use after its owner, solicitor Eric Richardson, racked up almost 1,000 miles most weekends.
Despite a top speed of 135mph and ability to make 0-60mph in 8 seconds, Mr Richardson decided to soup up his Jag and soon managed to crack the top speed.

The petrol headed solicitor was hitting speeds off the Jag's original speedometer, so had his car outfitted with a new speedo from a D-Type racer, which was capable of 200mph.
Mr Richardson also had his car transformed into a fastback after his young son outgrew the small amount of space in the back of the vehicle.
The dial isn't the only impressive feature of the Jaguar's interior
The new addition saw the cars rear end slope down to the bumper, adding more space, and giving the car a unique look.
Eventually known as the Hartin fastback, after the company that transformed the car, Mr Richardson kept his monster Jag until the 1970's and was eventually bought by a Mr Richard Galvani in 1990.

Mr Galvani was equally passionate about the Jaguar and increased its power to 300bph, before driving it through 20 countries.
Now outfitted with Aston Martin wheels and a hefty price tag, the current owner is selling the car at Bonhams' Goodwood Revival sale in West sussex on September 9.
The car has been given a price guide of £100,000 to £140,000, rivalling modern supercar the Lamborghini Gallardo.
