A NEW SURVEY has revealed the best cars to own in the UK in 2017 – but does your vehicle make the list?
Best cars to own in 2017 have been revealed by the Driver Power survey
Data from Auto Express’ annual Driver Power survey of 50,000 UK motorists has been used to determine which cars are the best to own and run in 2017.
Auto Express asked motorists to rate their new vehicles on everything from reliability, to performance and comfort.
A total of 31 different rating criteria were used to determine exactly which model was the best.
The Driver Power survey was only applicable to vehicles less than 12 months old.
Skoda Superb took the top prize as the most comfortable car in the UK, while the Toyota RAV4 was deemed to be the most reliable.
The results from each individual category were then collated to determine an overall mark.
All considered, the Skoda Superb took the Gold Medal position with an overall rating of 94.3 per cent.
It just pipped the Yeti – a fellow Skoda – to the top spot.

UK motorists who own the car left the following comments during the survey, “This car has it all; space, style, driving dynamics, and a great interior.
“I couldn’t be happier with it.”
“The interior is very smart. All of the tech works brilliantly, it looks good and there’s lots of storage space for various items.”
The quirky Yeti came just one per cent behind the Superb with drivers praising its spaciousness, comfort and how it responds and communicates with the driver.
The Skoda Yeti will be replaced this year but the new Skoda Karoq, a compact SUV.
Another Skoda made the list with the Fabia just missing out on the top ten, coming in 11th.
Three Lexus’ also made the top twenty as did two Kia’s, two Peugeot and two Subarus.
