Mazda CX-5 - UK Price, specs and release date revealed
MAZDA has revealed the pricing for their all-new CX-5 SUV, which will go on sale in the UK in June.
UK pricing for the Mazda CX-5 2017 has been revealed
Mazda CX-5 UK pricing has now been announced after it made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 last month.
Replacing the outgoing model the 2017 SUV has a fresh new look, increased technology and improved driving dynamics.
It was first revealed in 2013 and has now sold over 1.5million sales globally, which accounts for 25 per cent of Mazda’s global sales.
Mazda has also updated the styling of latest generation SUV giving it a more pronounced bonnet and grille, which is sharper and more angular than before.
They’ve also ditched the spoiler, plastic bumpers and side sills giving it an overall more premium look.
The Japanese car manufacturer say that the CX-5 is part of their ‘Jinba-Ittai’ car-and-driver philosophy, which is a concept that aims to make the the driver and the car united.
Mazda has attempted to achieve this by using a ‘human-centric development ethos’ to heighten the experience inside the cabin.
Noise and vibration levels have been reduced inside the vehicle and the body is 15 per cent more rigid than the outgoing variant.
Refinements to the steering, suspension, handbrakes and the introduction G-Vectoring Control have improved the ride comfort and response.
Mazda has made the interior more user-focused
Prices for the new Mazda start at £23,695 rising to £33,195 for the top of the range model.
SkyActiv-Drive six-speed manual and automatic transmissions and all-wheel drive are available with the updated range.
Mazda say that the 2.2-litre 150ps SKYACTIV-D diesel, which is available with front-wheel drive and AWD transmissions, is likely to be the most popular.
The range-topper is the flagship 2.2-litre 175ps SKYACTIV-D which comes exclusively in Sport Nav trim.
The new CX-5 benefits from an improved design and image
LED headlights, auto power-folding door mirrors, dual-zone climate control, DAB radio and a 7” colour touch-screen display with Mazda’s integrated navigation all now come as standard across the range.
The Sports Nav trim adds an adjustable driver seat, keyless enter, heated front seats, power lift tailgate and a new head-up display (HUD).
The new HUD projects information directly onto the windscreen and features Traffic Sign Recognition.
With production having started in Japan, the all-new Mazda CX-5 goes on sale in the UK on the 30th June.
