Volkswagen Golf 2017 - Perfomance GTD, GTI and R's new custom Oettinger body kit released
OETTINGER release body kits for Volkswagen’s Performance Golf line-up which includes the GTD, GTI and the R.
Volkswagen Golf GTD, GTI and R can now all be fitted with Oettinger body kit
The Volkswagen Golf is one of the most popular cars in the UK with sales of 60,000. It offers handsome looks, great value for money and an impressive list of specs.
As part of the Volkswagen Golf family, there us the Performance line. They, as expected, are tuned up, higher specced, sporty models of the popular hatchback.
The Performance line-up is comprised of the powerful GTD, the iconic GTI and the peerless R.
There is one problem with owning one of the most-popular cars in the UK...it’s one of the most popular cars in the UK. I’s hard to stand out when the streets are littered with thousands upon thousands of the Golf’s.
At least with the Performance models, you get more striking looks and more precision whilst driving.
If that still doesn’t suffice Oettinger is now offering the option of adding individual style to the mix via a new body kit, which also comes with a revised silencer.
The kits are available for the GTE, GTI and R
A stainless steel exhaust system quad set-up, which means the GTD gains exhaust tailpipes on the right of the car, while the GTI increases its number of tailpipes from two to four.
The R, meanwhile, receives honed quad tailpipes.
Each of the tailpipes benefit from theOettinger muffler which alters the sound, making the cars sound more sporty.

The Oettinger kit complements the stylings and aerodynamics of the Performance range
Added to each car is a purposeful rear diffuser which complements the quad exhaust set-up.
The diffuser blends seamlessly into Oettinger’s side skirts and is framed by the rear spoiler and underlined by the bespoke splitter.
All of the additions offer enhanced aerodynamic ability and the Oettinger kit does not clash with the tuned aerodynamics of the car.
Oettinger’s has been working with Volkswagen for more than 70 years, when Gerhard Oettinger took a Beetle into the world of rallying.

All these stylish additions however don’t come cheap.
The Oettinger body kit for the GTD costs £3,995 and GTI versions, and £5,225 (RRP) for the Golf R, which includes fitting costs and VAT.
