Insomnia

Insomnia is a health condition where people have difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep long enough to feel refreshed the next morning.

It is quite common, with one in three people in the UK thought to be suffering at any one time - it is particularly common in older people.

Causes of insomnia might include stress and anxiety, mental health conditions, a poor sleeping environment, and a variety of lifestyle factors such as jet lag or excessive caffeine consumption.
