SUSANNA REID and Ben Shephard were forced to evacuate the Good Morning Britain studio today when the ITV fire alarm broke out during an interview with Charley Webb and Anthony Quinlan.

The Emmerdale stars were just about to spill all on the soap's disaster week when their chat with Ben and Susanna was dramatically cut short due to a piercing alarm ringing through screens almost as soon as the interview began.
Telling the presenting duo they were so excited to finally be talking about the explosive week ahead, they'll now have to wait a little longer after their chat was brought to an abrupt halt.
As the Debbie Dingle actress clung onto her ear piece, Ben and Susanna awkwardly turned to each in bewilderment as they waited for a signal to evacuate immediately.
In one of the biggest shambles on ITV, the screen cut to bizarre pre-recorded footage.

"Do we have any standby take to run?" Susanna asked producers while Charley, who had to endure the jarring racket through her ear-piece admitted she couldn't wait for it to be over.
Viewers were quick to head to Twitter and comment on the hilarious situation."Shambles #GoodMorningBritain fire alarm going off middle of the show," one wrote, while another added: "Fire alarm at ITV , Good Morning Britain goes to pre-record footage."
Another viewer joked:"#GoodMorningBritain someone's having a sneaky smoke in the loo."

Thankfully Susanna and Ben and the Good Morning Britain team are all perfectly fine and have been poking fun at the drama behind the scenes:

ITV are currenlty playing out Lorraine's 30th anniversary
Follow up show Lorraine began a little later today, with stand-in presenter Jenni Falconer confirming that everything was now okay.
"Sorry we're late. It's all good, we're back and we're good to go," she told viewers.
