TFI Friday anniversary special: Shaun Ryder WILL appear on the show
CONTROVERSIAL Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder will be appearing on this week's TFI Friday anniversary special episode.
Chris Evans will be returning to host TFI Friday
The official guest list for the anniversary special of TFI Friday was unveiled by Channel 4 today and Shaun's name was at the top of the list.
The series courted controversy when Shaun swore several times on the show during an interview and a sketch when he shouted f**k several time.
The incident led to the singer being banned from Channel 4 programmes and the incident forced the show to be pre-recorded from then on.
However, it seems that the channel has had a change of heart and will be letting the singer back on the show for the sake of nostalgia.

Among the names confirmed for the special episode will be the controversial Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, the equally controversial Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.
Other famous faces joining Chris Evans on the show will be Hollywood star and Mean Girls actress Amanda Seyfried, Olympic diver Tom Daley and drum and bass group Rudimental.
The show will be returning for a one-off special to mark the quirky 19th anniversary of the edgy late-night chat show.
TFI Friday ran for four years between 1996 and 2000 before it was cancelled by the broadcaster. It featured a mix of live music, comedy sketches, daft games and celebrity interviews.
