Young Avengers movie after Avengers 4? Marvel boss Kevin Feige SPEAKS OUT
AVENGERS 4 and Ant-Man and the Wasp producer Kevin Feige has spoken out on the possibility of the Young Avengers forming in Marvel Phase 4.
Benicio Del Toro hints he will return for Avengers fourth sequel
Next year Avengers 4 hits cinemas and it looks like the original superhero team will be bowing out as actors contracts end.
And as the MCU enters Marvel Phase 4, fans are wondering what form the Avengers will take moving forward.
Rumours and leaks seem to be pointing at the Young Avengers forming, which could include Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige was recently asked about this possibility and he played it very coy.
Speaking with Screen Rant, he said: “We love that Cassie in this movie in particular is inspired by her father, wants to do good.
“Certainly, we're following that trend. Where, when, how, we'll see, but I think it would be cool.”
Kate Bishop, the Hawkeye of the Young Avengers was also brought up and Feige certainly isn’t saying no.
He added: “It's one of those inklings of possibilities post-Avengers 4. There will be a time soon after Avengers 4 when we announce what we show.”
So what other hints have there been to the Young Avengers forming after Avengers 4?
Well back in April 16-year-old Emma Furhmann was cast as an older Cassie Lang, suggesting the Marvel sequel is set a number of years after Ant-Man and the Wasp.
In the comics Cassie Lang is a member of Young Avengers and has the aliases of Stature and Stinger, but must crucially Ant-Girl and Giant-Girl.
There was also a casting call on Avengers 4 for two identical twin boys aged around two-years-old.
Fans will know that Scarlet Witch and Vision have twin sons in the comics called Speed and Wiccan, who both grow up to be members of the Young Avengers.
And let’s not forget that Black Panther’s sister Shuri is now based on the west coast of America, perhaps she could become Iron Heart, the female version of Iron Man?
Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
