Allison Janney revealed in a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres that Margot Robbie - who plays Tonya Harding in the biopic - is seen performing an impressive trick in the movie, that needed a little help in post-production.
It’s a moment in which Harding performs a triple axel; which essentially involves three quick spins in mid-air followed by a smooth landing back onto the ice.
“Only a handful of women have ever done that,” Janney said.
“We had to do the stunt and the director was like, ‘let’s get someone [stunt double] to do the triple axel’.

Robbie has picked up multiple award nominations
“There’s no-one who could do it! The only two who could do it were getting ready for the Winter Olympics and they didn’t want to injure themselves getting ready for a movie, so they had to CGI that stuff.”
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show last week, Robbie had spoken about how much skating she did herself for the hit movie, which is in UK cinemas nationwide later this week.
“Actually, anything really impressive was not me,” she said.
“I grew up in Australia, there’s no ice on the Gold Coast.

The real Tonya Harding was interviewed for the screenplay
“I rollerbladed but never learnt to skate. It was so scary coming at it as an adult.”
The film has picked up multiple plaudits, with Janney winning Best Supporting Actress at last night’s BAFTAs. She is tipped to repeat the feat at the Oscars next month.
I, Tonya is out on February 23 in the UK.
