Episode 8 of the Star Wars series comes out at the end of the year, with Hamill back as Luke Skywalker after having no lines and a very fleeting appearance at the very end of Episode 7.
Now, as speculation continues to fly around over what exactly he will be doing in the new movie, he seems to have confirmed theories suggesting he will have a lightsaber duel.

“I’m sure in his view of the lightsaber, the weapon of choice, has changed as well.”

When the interviewer then asked what it was like to wield the iconic weapon again, Hamill said: “It’s frightening!”
So does that confirm that he does indeed get to do battle in The Last Jedi? We’ll have to wait a few more months to find out.
In the meantime, co-star Daisy Ridley - who plays Rey - has spoken about the unexpected route the new film takes.
“Everyone talks about how different the direction is to what people may have been expecting. That’s great, and a massive blessing from having three different writers and directors for the different films,” she told Access Hollywood.
