Star Wars news: Mark Hamill reveals his REGRETS of too small a role in The Force Awakens
STAR WARS The Last Jedi actor Mark Hamill has revealed his regrets of not having a bigger role in The Force Awakens and seeing Luke Skywalker reunite with Han Solo.
Mark Hamill lets slip Rey might be Luke Skywalker's DAUGHTER
Hamill made an appearance at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida this weekend, where he took part in The Last Jedi panel.
The star even alluded to the fact that Rey is Luke's daughter after a potential slip up on stage.
Fans will be aware that he only made a cameo appearance at the conclusion of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, without saying one word of dialogue.
However during an interview with Fandango, Hamill revealed he really regretted not playing a larger part in the movie.

He said: “Absolutely! In fact when I was reading [the script] I thought, ‘If Leia is trying to mentally contact me and she's not successful, she'll rush to his aid.
“She'll get close to him and then get into some dire situation and that's when I show up for a big yay.
“Save her life, then we rush to Han and are in the same position that Rey and Finn and Chewie are in. Too late to save him, but witnesses.’”

Luke Skywalker plays a much bigger role in Star Wars The Last Jedi
Hamill continued: “It would carry so much emotional resonance into the next film.
“For us: His wife, his best friend to witness, instead of two characters that have known him, what, 20 minutes?
“Well, Chewie. But still, I thought that was a great missed opportunity.”

He added: “But, listen, as I’ve told J.J. and I’ve told Rian, ‘I have so many really terrible ideas that I’d like to share with you, because out of 100, maybe you’ll find one you kind of like.’
“After [The Last Jedi] comes out, I’m making a list of some of the more outrageous things I suggested.
“Because I look back now and go, ‘What was I thinking?'”
