At the conclusion of Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Star Wars fans will remember that Rey arrived on Luke’s exile planet Ahch-To with Chewbacca and R2-D2.

While the trailer for Episode VIII: The Last Jedi won’t be released for another two weeks at Star Wars Celebration, its assumed that Luke will of course be reunited with his hairy and robotic friends.
Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh claims from a leak at Pinewood Studios just how this happens in the new movie.
Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi LEAK: ‘Luke’s emotional reunion with Chewbacca and R2-D2’
In his new YouTube video, he says: “It was reported that Mark Hamill, playing Luke Skywalker of course, walks down these set of [stone] steps and eventually reaches the Millennium Falcon and goes inside.
‘This is where he meets Chewbacca and R2-D2 for the first time in a very, very long time. However long, we don’t know.
“Why isn’t Rey going down with Luke Skywalker, down the stone steps to the Millennium Falcon?
“Does he tell her to stay up there? What’s the deal?”
Chewbacca and R2-D2 are also on Ahch-To with Rey and Luke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi
He continued: “The other question is: Do Chewbacca and R2-D2 go back up with Luke Skywalker – those details we do not know.
“When he goes in there [the Millennium Falcon], he’s going to have a lot of flash backs. He’s going to think of Han.
“You’re going to see more emotions through Luke Skywalker, of looking at the atmosphere of, the interior of, the Millennium Falcon.
The first Star Wars The Last Jedi trailer is expected to drop at Star Wars Celebration on April 14
Zeroh added: “It’s going to bring back memories of his friend Han.
“I think that [that is] the filmmakers’…main purpose of why Luke Skywalker is going to go into the Millennium Falcon.
“To bring out these emotions to the audiences to show that Han’s presence will still be with the characters in this film.”
Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 15, 2017.
