.@Jid2021 Everyone knows that "last" and "final" are synonyms right? That they mean the exact same thing?

Will Luke die so that Rey becomes the final Jedi?
Now the film’s director, Johnson, has opened up about the cryptic minimalist title further.
The news came about when one Star Wars fan called Nate Richter tweeted at the filmmaker.
He wrote: “For my birthday today, all I want is for @rianjohnson to tell me what The Last Jedi means.”
Incredibly, Johnson replied: “@ndrichter It means the final Jedi. Happy birthday!”
He later added:”Everyone knows that 'last' and 'final' are synonyms right? That they mean the exact same thing?”
While the director alludes to the fact that he didn't really reveal anything, it’s possible this could mean that Rey will be the final Jedi at the end of the movie if Luke gets killed – but at this stage we’re purely speculating.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 15, 2017.
