Tom Hardy’s Mad Max: Fury Road has a PREQUEL in the works
A PREQUEL of Mad Max: Fury Road has reportedly begun preproduction.

The new film, titled Mad Max: The Wasteland, will focus on the backstory of Charlize Theron’s character, Imperator Furiosa.
The new prequel will be the fifth Mad Mad film after the Mel Gibson trilogy in the 1980s.
Back in January director George Miller revealed: “I have two more stories. We had dug down deep into the backstory, not only of the characters, but of every vehicle.
“How the steering wheels became religious artefacts and things like that. So we ended up with two scripts, without really trying."

The prequel will focus on Imperator Furiosa's backstory
He added: “We’re talking to the studio [Warner Bros] about it as we speak, but which one of the two stories will happen next, I’m not so sure.”
The only question is whether Theron will return to the part or be replaced by a younger actress.
Last week the black and white edition of Fury Road was announced, with a release date of December 6.
Mad Max: Fury Road received fantastic reviews following its release last year.
The Australian post-apocalyptic adventure was nominated for Best Picture and Best Director at the Oscars and grossed £260 million worldwide.
A recent poll by critics of the 100 greatest films of the 21st century listed Mad Max: Fury Road at Number 19.
