Ralph Breaks The Internet: TWO end credits scenes on Wreck-It Ralph sequel - what happens?
RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET, the sequel to the hugely popular Wreck-It Ralph, is out in many territories this weekend.
Ralph Breaks The Internet: Disney's Wreck-it Ralph 2 trailer
Moviegoers in countries such as the USA and Canada will be able to see the long-awaited animation from tonight, with a UK release coming up next Friday - November 30. So one of the big questions fans are already asking is: does the movie have a post- or mid-credits scene? The answer is yes.
Superhero movies from the likes of Marvel have made fans ultra-alert to bonus nuggets during or after the credits for big blockbusters.
And while Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald did not have anything, despite many cinemagoers waiting behind, Ralph Breaks The Internet does.
In fact, the movie has two little treats after the official final scene.
Scroll down for the spoilers on what exactly happens in both moments.
Both credits moments are fun little codas, not further plot beats or hints at future movies.
The first, which comes during the credits, is a moment that eagle-eyed viewers may recognise from the trailers. In a very meta way.
It’s a mother and her daughter in their car; the former asking the latter if she liked the movie. The girl says she did, but she’s disappointed not to have seen an exciting moment from the trailer.
Then she pulls out a tablet and plays a game on it, which is where that very trailer scene began.
The post-credits section is also meta.
On screen is a link that asks the viewer to click for a teaser for Frozen 2.
The link is clicked - and rather than a teaser for next year’s Frozen sequel, you get a Ralph-like Rickroll, in which the title character performs Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up.
Ralph Breaks The Internet is out now in the US. It’s out in the UK next Friday, November 30.
