Avengers 4: Did Mantis star Pom Klementieff just reveal a Captain Marvel scene?
AVENGERS 4 star Pom Klementieff, who plays Guardians of the Galaxy’s Mantis, seems to have teased a scene with Captain Marvel.
Avengers Infinity War: Teaser ahead of DVD release
The upcoming Avengers 4 is shrouded in much mystery, including the film’s actual title.
But what fans can expect is Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel teaming up with the Avengers in the fightback against Thanos.
And now Guardians of the Galaxy star Pom, who plays Mantis, seems to have teased she shares a scene with Larson and Danai Gurira’s Okoye.
The indirect reference was made during a recent interview where she spoke about #MeToo and Time’s Up.
Speaking with Paper, Pom said: “It's scary and it's beautiful, too.
“I remember Brie Larsen coming to me and Danai Gurira on the set of The Avengers and she told me about the [Time's Up] letter to sign and I found it really amazing to have all these women — and men too — together in fighting for a better world.
“Things need to change so it's great that we women are united and speaking out now.”
Interestingly Pom’s Mantis died in the Snap, while both Captain Marvel and Okoye survived.
So just where could such a scene take place?
Well one option is the rumoured time travel, but also back in April Bucky star Sebastian Stan teased an Avengers 4 scene where “everyone was there.”
Speaking with The Independent, he said: “There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there.
“I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there.”
He added: “You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.”
What’s so revealing about this and Pom’s line is that every character mentioned except for Okoye and Captain Marvel, died in the Snap.
And it seems likely then that Pom was referring to such a scene, presumably at the very end of Avengers 4.
Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
