MARIAH CAREY was left red-faced and facing the wrath of Meryl Streep at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards last night.

The hitmaker caused a stir after making a beeline for the bathroom during the star-studded ceremony, but failing to make it back to her correct seat.
The 47-year-old too to Twitter to ask the nominee to “forgive” her after she pinched her spot next to Steven Spielberg.
The actress, 68, who was up for the best actress going for her role in The Post, has so far failed to response to Mariah but she does not have a social media account.
“Got caught mingling on the way to the loo during a commercial break. Took the first seat available, happens to be right next to Steven Spielberg,” the singer started online.

Mariah then continued to her 20.3 million followers: “Cut to next commercial break, guess who comes back to her seat…”
However, she did not leave her fans hanging for too long, adding: “(me) Dear Meryl, please forgive me! (MERYL STREEP) You can take my seat any time!”(sic)
The beauty, who was accompanied to the bash by tomboy Bryan Tanaka, 34, stunned on the red carpet in a tight-fitting black dress with an asymmetric neckline.

Mariah also commented on Oprah Winfrey’s stirring speech which came moments after she was given the honorary Cecil B DeMille Award.
“Congratulations @Oprah! You are an incredible role model. Thank you for your inspiring and moving words and for everything you have done for me personally. You have changed my life,” she went on.
Unfortunately, Mariah herself lost out in the Best Original Song category and tweeted: “Congratulations ‘This Is Me’! A beautifully written song and very deserving. Marc & I will try another year!”
