MARILYN MANSON confirmed the sad passing of his father, Hugh Warner, in a heartbreaking Instagram post yesterday.

The 48-year-old musician, real name Brian Warner, shared a rare personal picture from his childhood, demonstrating the striking resemblance between him and his father, announcing that he had passed away.
The controversial rock singer uploaded a touching tribute, saying: "Today I lost my father, Hugh Warner. He taught me how to be a man, a fighter, a survivor.
"He taught me how to shoot a gun," Manson continued. "How to drive. How to lead. He will always be the best dad in the world.

"Somehow and somewhere, I know he is with my mom now," the post continued. "I will keep my promise and never let you down. I miss and love you dad."
The cause of death has not yet been reported.
The news comes just weeks after Manson shared a snap of the pair together to celebrate Father's Day, showing them both done up in his signature goth make-up for a photo shoot with Paper Magazine.
He captioned the shot: "For Hugh so loved the world he made me. Happy Father's Day."

Manson is a rock icon and controversial singer-songwriter
Manson's mother, Barbara Warner, died three years ago in 2014 after a long battle with dementia.
At the time, he paid tribute to her in a post on his official Facebook page, saying: "Mother, to the first and greatest believer in me… I hop eI see you again someday. But not now, because I have more things I promised I would do.
"I'll make you proud and satisfied that you know that you made the son you wanted. I love you," he added.
