Fallon appeared rather red-faced as he took to the stage after his pre-taped musical opening aired.
However, he wasn't sure what to do when he had no script to turn to and eventually said: “I can think of something. Cut to Justin Timberlake please.”
The host then joked: “I’ll make up this monologue… We’re here. This is what happens at the Golden Globes. Already you have your Golden Globes moment.”
He shared: "Already the teleprompter's down so this is a great way to start the show. I could do impressions."
