Speaking to OK! magazine, the 39-year-old actress admitted that she had fiancé Rudy are overwhelmed by the news, which has seemingly been a long time coming.
“We’re absolutely over the moon,” she told OK! magazine. “It still hasn’t sunk in. It’s a buy one, get one free situation!”
Despite their happy news, the soap star said she is remaining “cautious” as the treatment failed last year.

“We’ve been trying for 11 years and now we’re expecting twins! When it failed, it was devastating after all the drugs, preparation and mental stress that we were put through.”

Rudy added: “We’re so excited. No words can describe how we’re feeling.”
Though the Italian also revealed that the couple were in a very different place this time last year, with the failed treatment emotionally taking its toll.
“It was a rocky time going through that. We had a disappointing ride on the first treatment,” he continued.
Their twins are due on May 3, though the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star said that they were expecting to become parents much sooner.
“They don’t let you go further than 37 weeks with twins, so they’ll be out mid-April if not before,” she explained.
Lucy and Rudy are already the parents of 12-year-old daughter Lola.
