KARL LAGERFELD has spoken out about Kim Kardashian's horrific gun ordeal and claimed she shouldn't be "surprised" that people want to share her wealth and take her jewels.

The reality star was held at gun point in the early hours of Monday morning by a masked gang who helped themselves to millions of dollars worth of jewels.
The mother-of-two is believed to have begged for her life as she was tied up in the raid, which has been described as "highly-organised".
Speaking about the star's ordeal, the creative director at Chanel said: "I don't understand why she was in a hotel with no security and think like this.
"If you are famous and you put all your jewellery on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room."

According to the Telegraph, the 83-year-old added: "You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you."
Despite his shocking comments regarding the incident, Karl previously sent his support to Kim with a heartfelt handwritten message.
He can be seen in a snap holding a note, which read: "Dearest Kim, we are all with you, love Karl."
